Purposes of processing

Cinema ticket booking, purchase of other cinema products

In order to facilitate your purchase, your personal information is shared between us and your chosen cinema. This information is used in order to process your transaction and also for us or your chosen cinema to contact you with regard to your purchase – for instance, to advise you of any change to the schedule, or any cancellation, or to mail out a gift card. This contact may be by telephone or email, or, where sufficient information has been provided, by postal mail


If you indicate that you wish to be contacted by your chosen cinema in relation to additional products or services, your personal details may be used to advise you of forthcoming events etc. which may interest you.

If you are unhappy that we have not responded to your query adequately, of if you have a further complaint, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority, in the UK this is the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

IP Addresses

Your IP address is used in order to help us to identify you, as well as to assist us in diagnosing web server issues and answering booking queries. We do not disclose your IP address to any third party, but may provide it to relevant authorities in order to insist with any fraud investigation.


Where necessary we may record information about you in the form of cookies.

Cookies are small files which are downloaded by your computer when you visit, and which are stored on your hard drive in order for us to identify whether you have visited us previously, as well as any personal information you may have provided to us in the course of making a booking. It also helps us to identify your previous purchases so that we can advise you whether these have successfully completed, in order to reduce the possibility of you making multiple bookings in error.

We do not directly employ third party advertising via our web site, but your selected cinema may provide advertisements as part of the web site “skin” it provides for its ticket booking facility. Such advertisements may make use of cookies in order to store certain anonymous information about you (e.g. browsing habits, areas of interest etc.), and may be used to provide you with targeted advertising when visiting other websites.

Site Security

Tapos Software Limited takes the security of any personal or financial information entered via this web site very seriously, in order to prevent loss, misuse or interception of the details you provide. Any such information provided for the purposes of making your purchase, is encrypted using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection which incorporates 256 bit AES high-grade encryption, before it is transported across the internet. This ensures that it cannot be read by any third party.


For Customers within the United Kingdom, personal information such as your name, phone number, email address, confirmed date of visit at chosen cinema, and if you had COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 (if the customer has reported this to the cinema), may be shared to the NHS Test and Trace service (“Test & Trace”) upon request. These contact details will help to enable Test & Trace to alert other customers that they may be at risk of contracting COVID-19 and direct their household to isolate to prevent further spread. Consent to providing contact details to Test & Trace are not required to place a booking but encouraged. Contact details provided are information concerning health but they are still personal. Consent to sharing data with Test & Trace is strictly limited to that purpose and would not be used for marketing or sent to third parties. The personal information described above may be stored for up to a month.
